Large agribusinesses are increasingly using technological resources to assist in monitoring the performance and useful life of their equipment. Predictive maintenance techniques have brought benefits to large groups in this sector, helping to reduce maintenance costs. Vibration analysis is one of the most used predictive techniques for monitoring rotating machines. We can find vibration monitoring applications within agribusiness in harvesters, generators, pump systems, electric motors, boilers, exhaust fans and others.

Dynamox has been applying the DynaPredict Solution in several agribusinesses, which monitors temperature and vibration wirelessly, applying scheduled data collection stored in the sensor / gateway internal memory and subsequently synchronized with a web platform, through manual collections using the DynaPredict mobile App, or by automated collection using the DynaGateway.

A difficulty in implementing vibration monitoring in the agribusiness is linked to the machine circulation over long distances, which prevents the use of wired sensors. In addition, sometimes the data analysis team is far from the machinery, which makes it difficult to access the data and consequently to make a decision.

In this case, the wireless Dynamox sensors added to gateways for automated data collections form a solution to those challenges. The solution allows the monitored equipment to carry out its work routes normally, being monitored throughout their daily journey without the need for a stop or a collaborator to perform such measurements.

Even if the machine travels through an area with no internet signal, once it returns to the network coverage region, the data recorded in the internal memory of the gateways will be sent to the web platform and will be accessible to the data analysis team, who can communicate with operators and recommend maintenance stops, avoiding possible machine breakdowns.
